This letter is a testimonial for Get Set, Inc., who has been handling all our pest control needs of the past three years.  The Results have been good and the response from the people who use our facilities has been very positive.  They love the fact that no chemicals or poisons will be used around their children.

Fruitport Schools in the past used pest control companies that applied chemicals or poisons.  the results using poisons where in most cases very temporary or just did not work.  Fruitport Schools decided that it was not prudent or responsible to keep subjecting our students and staff to poisons that weren't working.  The final straw came about three and one half years ago when we had a termite problem at our Middle School.  We called the pest control company and they came out drilled holes and put their poison in the holes.  This was done on a Friday night.  Monday we had students who felt ill and needed ot go home because of the chemical that was used.  That's when we knew we had to find a better way to control pests.

We called Get Set and they came out and explained the service they could provide us.  We were very apprehensive at first but agreed to let them have one of our buildings to use as a test site.  We were so impressed that within six months we had Get-Set treating all our buildings.  They treated areas for termites using bait methods that destroy the colony rather than use poisons that just chase them from one part of the building to another.  This method worked much better than the conventional drill and poison method.

Since we started using the non-toxic methods that Get-Set taught us our pest control problems are very much under control and we do most of it ourselves.  Our buildings are now safer for our students and staff and we don't have to worry about potential problems from the misuse or improper application.  One example that comes to mind is this.  We had a rather large yellow jacket infestation in a ceiling unit ventilator.  Instead of spraying chemicals or poisons into the unit we covered the outside of the unit with cardboard and left one small opening.  We then took our web vac and put about three inches of water with a little dish soap in the bottom of the vac.  Then we fastened the hose to the edge of the opening in the cardboard.  We ran the vac during the day for two days.  The result was all the yellow jackets were dead in the bottom of the vac.  Before we got involved with Get-Set we would have sprayed poison into that unit vent ultimately exposing everyone in that room to some really bad stuff when the unit was turned on.  We would have been putting kids in harms way without even realizing it.

We feel we have the total package with Get Set.  We are controlling our pests problems and are being educated on how to take care of our pest problems while preserving our planet for the future generations to enjoy.  I have worked in schools for the past twenty years and I never had a single pest control company offer to train or educate our children or staff about pest control and the possible dangers associated with it.  Get-Set has gone where no pest control company has gone before.  They are everyone's breath of fresh air.
